Dead Days - Monday, January 12th, 2009

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lengthier than usual hiatus and irregular posts. I've been having a hard time getting back into the swing of things after my X-mas break. And it's not that I haven't been working on stuff, because I've been writing strips like mad. But starting off the new year is always busy for me, so I appreciate the slack.

So to start things rolling again, here's a strip I wrote a while ago regarding flannel. :D This stemmed from a day I thought I'd totally wear a flannel shirt, unbuttoned to work a la Paul Rudd in "Clueless" to the dismay of my wife who thought I looked silly. "I'm bringing it back!" I declared and pretty much had the exact same conversation as in this strip. Uh, minus the parachute pants. I'm not that retro.

Anyway, much to both our surprise, Sarah's fashion magazines soon declared that flannel is IN FACT back in style! She refused to acknowledge, however, that I have my finger on the pulse of fashion and that the magazines like Glamour and GQ look to me for trendsetting advice. Pffft, jealous wife.
