Old Enough Part 8
Wednesday, April 8th, 2009
Francis and Diane Jones of Main Street are reluctant to announced the engagement of their daughter, Sandy, to... Brown, son of Robert and Martha... Brown.
Ms. Jones graduated with honors from Ridgefield High School and is currently attending the University majoring in Communications.
Mr. Brown managed to eek his way through some High School as well, and is also going to classes at the University (his actual enrollment is suspect). He has no job, no prospects, no direction and doesn't deserve our daughter. He asked us to mention that he does, however, have a rather nice DVD collection. Charming.
The "couple" have not yet set a wedding date and never will if we have anything to say about it. Through the kind of strategic manipulation that only parents can administer, we hope to be announcing the availability of our beautiful daughter within the year.
And by that, we mean Congratulations. You're making a huge mistake Pumpkin.
